REAR SPOILER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Glass Type)

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS GUIDE BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Glass Type)

  3. REMOVE REAR SIDE SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A002BS3

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. A002C2L

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear side spoiler sub-assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR SIDE SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B004057 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the wire harness.

      Note

      Do not allow the disconnected wire harness to get caught between the back door and vehicle body to prevent it from being damaged.


      1. Turn back the wire harness grommet.

      2. A0029QD

        Disengage the 4 claws and pull out the wire harness from the vehicle body.

        Note

        Do not forcibly pull the wire harness.

        Disconnect the connector.

      4. Disconnect the rear washer hose.

      5. A0027DE

        Disengage the grommet (for Glass Hatch Type).

      6. A002B65

        Disconnect the connector (for Glass Hatch Type).

    3. Remove the 6 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 2 claws.

      Raise and lower the glass hatch and the back door respectively. Pull out the wire harness from the vehicle body and remove the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
