REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Fog Light)

  2. REMOVE REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Rear Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Rear Fog Light)


    1. Disengage the 8 clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Use the same procedure for all the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

  5. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR BEZEL (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Use the same procedure for all the ultrasonic sensor bezels.

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disengage the 11 clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  7. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Rear Fog Light)

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A002826

      Disengage 2 claws to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Rear Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION


    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Remove the 5 clips.

    3. Disengage the 10 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear bumper extension.

  11. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Remove the 2 clips.

    3. Disengage the 14 claws to remove the lower rear bumper cover.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE


    1. A002BSB

      Remove the No. 2 moulding tape.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. A002CIW

      Remove the screw.

    2. A0029OI

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear bumper side support LH.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH

      *A w/o Mudguard

      w/o Mud guard:


      1. Remove the screw.

    2. Remove the 4 clips and rear bumper side seal LH.

  16. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

    1. Remove the 6 nuts and No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement.
