DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling ECU assembly actuates the headlight leveling motors according to vehicle conditions.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test of the leveling motors.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A67 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A22*1 or A30*2 headlight leveling motor connector.


      • *1: for LH Side

      • *2: for RH Side

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A67-11 (LH+) - A22-3 (LHIG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A67-18 (LHT) - A22-2 (LH T) Always Below 1 Ω
      A67-24 (LH-) - A22-1 (LH E) Always Below 1 Ω
      A67-11 (LH+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A67-18 (LHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A67-24 (LH-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH Side

      A67-10 (RH+) - A30-3 (RHIG) Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR


    1. Replace the headlight leveling motor with a new or known good one.
