LIGHTING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM


  1. DESCRIPTION

    Lighting system data and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read from the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the GTS to check for malfunctions and to assist with repairs.

  2. CHECK DLC3

    Check the DLC3.

  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

    Measure the battery voltage.

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery.

  4. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

    If a headlight assembly (for LED Headlight) malfunctions, "CHECK HEADLIGHT SYSTEM"*1 or "Check Headlight System"*2 is displayed on the multi-information display.


    • *1: Multi-information Display (for Monochrome Type)

    • *2: Multi-information Display (for Color Type)

    Tech Tips


    • In this case, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stores DTCs.

    • When the system returns to normal, "CHECK HEADLIGHT SYSTEM"*1 or "Check Headlight System"*2 is no longer displayed on the multi-information display.
