  2. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSIONS

    1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs depending on the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

Expression Ignition Switch (Position) Engine Switch (Condition)
Ignition Switch off LOCK Off (Lock)
Ignition Switch ACC ACC On (ACC)
Ignition Switch ON ON On (IG)
      Engine Start START On (Start)
  3. PRECAUTION FOR HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT

    1. If even a thin film of oil is left on the surface of a halogen bulb, its service life will be shortened because the light will burn at a higher temperature. When replacing a bulb, be sure to hold the flange part of the bulb so that your hand does not contact the glass part of the bulb.

    2. Always prepare a new bulb for immediate replacement. While replacing the bulb, the lens may attract dust and moisture if removed from the vehicle for a long time.

    3. Always replace a bulb with another bulb of the same wattage.

    4. If only replacing the bulb on one side, differences in brightness and lighting color between the right and left sides may occur.

    5. Securely install the socket after bulb replacement. The lens may become cloudy or the light cavity may be filled with water through gaps around the socket if it is not installed securely.

  4. PRECAUTION FOR LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT

    1. This vehicle is equipped with a semiconductor pwr integration ECU as a device to cut off a circuit if there is an overcurrent. When there is too much current, the semiconductor pwr integration ECU does not melt like a fuse, but instead opens and returns to normal when the ignition switch is turned off. Therefore, if a bulb connected to the semiconductor pwr integration ECU is replaced with a non-genuine bulb or a bulb that is not designed for the vehicle, the bulb may not function as the current may be cut off.

  5. PRECAUTIONS FOR INSPECTING POWER SOURCE FOR MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (for LHD)

    1. As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), a door control battery malfunction can be suspected if the power source for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is malfunctioning.
