PRECAUTION (for Glass Hatch Type)
Note
Be sure to use the centering jig when removing and installing the rear wiper motor assembly. Failure to do so will result in a change of the location of the axis of the rear wiper motor assembly, causing the wiping angle to change.
After installing the rear wiper motor assembly, do not open the glass hatch before installing the rear wiper link.
If the rear wiper motor assembly is removed without using the centering jig, the rear wiper motor assembly must be replaced with a new one.
INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET (for Fixed Glass Type)

Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the rear wiper motor grommet lip.
Tech Tips
Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with grease and the grooves on the lip are filled with grease.

Install the rear wiper motor grommet.
Tech Tips
Install the grommet with its alignment mark facing up.
INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Glass Type)
Insert the shaft of the rear wiper motor assembly into the rear wiper motor grommet.
Install the rear wiper motor assembly with the 4 bolts.
Note
Be careful not to scratch the back door glass.
Connect the connector.

Temporarily install the rear wiper motor assembly with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Note
Do not hold the rear wiper motor assembly by the rear wiper link.
Be careful not to scratch the back door glass.
Do not remove the centering jig before installing the rear wiper link.
Tighten the 4 bolts and 2 nuts to install the rear wiper motor assembly.
Tech Tips
Tighten the bolts and nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Disengage the 2 claws and guide and open the glass hatch.
Disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides to remove the centering jig.
Close the glass hatch.
INSTALL REAR WIPER LINK PIVOT WITH WASHER PACKING (for Glass Hatch Type)
Install the rear wiper link pivot with washer packing with the nut.
INSTALL REAR WIPER LINK CAP (for Glass Hatch Type)

Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the rear wiper link cap lip.
Tech Tips

Install the rear wiper link cap.
INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY

When reusing the rear wiper arm and blade assembly:
Clean the wiper arm serrations to remove any burrs, dirt, etc.
Note
Do not grind down the wiper arm serrations.
When reusing the rear wiper motor assembly:
Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.
Operate the wiper and stop the rear wiper motor assembly at the automatic stop position.

Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly with the nut to the position shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.

Operate the rear wiper while spraying washer fluid onto the back door glass. Make sure that the rear wiper functions properly and the wiper does not come into contact with the vehicle body.
Lift the wiper arm twice after the wiper stops and check the wiper set position.
INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
Engage the 2 claws.
Close the rear wiper arm head cap as shown in the illustration.
Engage the 2 claws to install the rear wiper arm head cap.
INSTALL REAR WIPER SHAFT COVER (for Glass Hatch Type)
Engage the 3 clips.
Engage the fastener to install the rear wiper shaft cover.
