WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM Washer Nozzle Heater Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives ambient air temperature information from the air conditioning amplifier assembly via CAN communication. The washer nozzle heater sub-assembly controls the main body ECU and operates the washer nozzle heater sub-assembly according to the ambient temperature.

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.*


    • *: w/ Smart Entry and Start System

  • As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Disconnect the A36 washer nozzle sub-wire connector.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    6. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

    7. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the 2C instrument junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      2C-14 - 2 (WSH NZL HTR relay) Always Below 1 Ω
