  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

      Disengage the 2 clips and guide and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.

  5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side)

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips, 4 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door upper armrest base panel.

  6. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A002BOS

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips, 4 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the power window regulator switch assembly with front door upper armrest base panel.

  7. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B004057 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the front door panel.

    2. A002821C01
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

      Remove the 3 screws.

    4. A0029VR

      Disengage the 10 clips and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. w/ Memory:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

    6. w/ Illumination:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A0029CD

      Disengage the 2 claws and guide, and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP


    1. A002BMO

      Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH (w/ Memory)

  12. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Memory)

  13. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR WITH COVER

    Click here

  14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

      Remove the front door service hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Remove any remaining butyl tape from the front door panel.

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A002CP3

      Remove the grommet.

    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    3. for Driver Side:


      1. Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

      2. Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Connect the power window regulator switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

      2. Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    6. Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note

      After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly to fall.

      Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the front door glass sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

      *a Temporary Bolt

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Loosen the temporary bolt.

      Note

      Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator assembly may fall and cause damage.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts.

    4. Remove the front door window regulator assembly.

    5. Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator assembly.

  18. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A002BES

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and power window regulator motor assembly.

  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN


    1. A002A30

      Remove the front door glass run.

  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect wire harness.

    2. A002ADD

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the front door front lower frame sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A002792

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame sub-assembly.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. A002A28

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. A0029EC

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover with lock cylinder assembly.

      Tech Tips

      The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Driver Side)


    1. A002AA0

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and 2 guides, and remove the front door outside handle cover as shown in the illustration.

  24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. A0027FT

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.

      Tech Tips

      The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

  25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Smart Entry and Start System:


      1. A002CI3

        Disengage the 2 claws.

      2. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector.

    2. A002CN3

      Remove the front door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.

  26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD


    1. A002BMX

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door front outside handle pad.

  27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door rear outside handle pad.

  28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

    3. Slide the front door lock with motor assembly downward to disconnect the front door lock open rod and remove the front door lock with motor assembly and cables as a unit.

    4. When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly:

        Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly.

  29. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. A002BVB

      Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

  30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

  31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Smart Entry and Start System:


      1. A002ATL

        Disengage the 3 clamps.

      *A Inside
      *B Outside

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

    3. Slide the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly to disengage the claw, and then remove it.

  32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

      Remove the front door lock open rod as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front door check assembly.

  34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

      Using a clip remover, disengage the 20 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.

  35. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 STIFFENER CUSHION

      B004057 Double-sided Tape

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front door No. 2 stiffener cushion.

  36. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the door frame garnish.

  37. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front door panel cushions.

  38. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR

      Remove the front door panel protector.

  39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR VENT SEAL

      B004057 Double-sided Tape

      Remove the front door vent seal.
