HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

  2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

  15. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A002AJC

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. A0029QVC01
      *1 Hood Lock Bolt

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

    4. A0029FI

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A002B0C

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. A002ABNC01
      *1 Hood Lock Bolt

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

    4. A002C8J

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage 5 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
