  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU - POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY SET LH)


    1. Disconnect the X6 multiplex network door ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the X1 power back door unit assembly set LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X6-11 (DSG) - X1-4 (DSG) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-12 (DSV) - X1-3 (DSV) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-22 (DS2) - X1-6 (DS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-23 (DS1) - X1-5 (DS1) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-11 (DSG) or X1-4 (DSG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-12 (DSV) or X1-3 (DSV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-22 (DS2) or X1-6 (DS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-23 (DS1) or X1-5 (DS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the power back door unit assembly set LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      X1-4 (DSG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      X1-5 (DS1) - Body ground Always 7 V or higher
      X1-6 (DS2) - Body ground Always 7 V or higher
      X1-3 (DSV) - Body ground Always 7 V or higher

  4. CHECK POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY SET LH


    1. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of each terminal from the rear of the multiplex network door ECU X6 connector.

      The period changes in accordance to the speed at which the back door is opened and closed by hand.
