BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Entry and Start System)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the opener switch.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (GND) - 3 (BDSU) Back door opener switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 2 (GND) - 3 (BDSU) Back door opener switch pushed Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

   2. Check the operation of the lock switch.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (TSW5) - 2 (GND) Back door lock switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 1 (TSW5) - 2 (GND) Back door lock switch pushed Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

2. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Entry and Start System)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the opener switch.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (GND) - 3 (BDSU) Back door opener switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 2 (GND) - 3 (BDSU) Back door opener switch pushed Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
