DESCRIPTION

The multiplex network door ECU receives signals from the latch switch, sector switch and back door courtesy switch, which are built into the back door lock assembly. Based on these switch signals, the latch position of the back door lock assembly is determined.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Back Door > Data List

      ON: Back door lock sector gear in center position

      OFF: Back door lock sector gear not in center position

  2. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the back door lock assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the X19 back door lock assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the X6 multiplex network door ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X19-6 (OPN) - X6-24 (POS) Always Below 1 Ω
      X19-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      X19-6 (OPN) or X6-24 (POS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
