POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM(for Models with Jam Protection Function on Front Door Windows) Remote Up / Down Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

Front passenger door:

When the ignition switch is ON, the power window regulator master switch assembly sends remote up and down signals to the power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger door) via LIN communication.

Rear doors:

When the ignition switch is ON, the power window regulator master switch assembly sends remote up and down signals to the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door or RH door). Then, the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door or RH door) drives each power window regulator motor assembly.

  • The power window control system uses the LIN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

  • If the power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)


    1. Turn the window lock switch off and operate the switches on the power window regulator master switch assembly. Check that the remote up and down function operates normally.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (MAIN BODY)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
