POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM(for Models with Jam Protection Function on Front Door Windows) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

• Controls power window operation for all windows.

• When the lock switch is set to the lock position, window operation will be possible for all windows.

• Located on the front passenger door.

• Controls front passenger window operation.

Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly

• LH Door

• RH Door

• Located on the rear doors.

• Each switch controls window operation for its respective window.

Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly

• Driver Door

• Front Passenger Door

• Receives switch signals and changes signals into motor activation. As a result, the window position changes.

• Uses the Hall-ICs built into the regulator motor and the power window ECUs to detect the window position and jamming.

Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly

• Rear LH Door

• Rear RH Door

• For driver door and front passenger door:

  Function that causes the window to go up while the power window regulator master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly is being pulled halfway up and to go down while pushed halfway down. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.

• For rear doors:

  Function that causes the window to go up while the rear power window regulator switch assembly is being pulled up and to go down while pushed down. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.

• Function that disables the power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator switch assembly operations when the window lock switch is pressed.

• The power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator switch assembly can be operated when the window lock switch is pressed again.

• For front passenger door:

  Function that allows the power window regulator master switch assembly to control manual and auto up and down operations of the front passenger door window.

• For rear doors:

  Function that allows the power window regulator master switch assembly to control manual up and down operation of the rear door windows.

• Function that makes it possible to operate all power windows for approximately 43 seconds after the ignition switch is turned off when the driver door or front passenger door has not been opened.

• When 43 seconds have elapsed, or the driver door or front passenger door is opened after the ignition switch is turned off, the key-off operation function will be disabled.

• When the key is not inside the vehicle, the driver door is locked, and the key inserted into the driver door key cylinder is turned and maintained in the lock position for 1.5 seconds or more, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the power window regulator motor assemblies to close front power windows while the key is being turned.

• Similarly, when the driver door is unlocked, turning and maintaining the driver door key in the unlock position for 1.5 seconds or more will cause front power windows to open.

• When the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives an UNLOCK signal from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly for 2.4 seconds or more, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends an operation request signal to the power window ECU in each power window regulator motor assembly. As a result, the power window regulator motors open front power windows.

• When the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives a LOCK signal from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly for 2.4 seconds or more, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends an operation request signal to the power window ECU in each power window regulator motor assembly. As a result, the power window regulator motors close front power windows.

• Function to disable part of power window control system functions if the pulse sensor in the power window regulator motor has a malfunction.

• Auto up and down function and remote control function are disabled.
