COOLER EXPANSION VALVE(for Front) REMOVAL

Note

When removing the cooler expansion valve by itself, be sure to install a new cooler expansion valve and new bolt for the suction hose sub-assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE)

  3. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE)

  4. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts.

    2. A0028MOC01
      *a Bolt for Suction Hose Sub-assembly

      Temporarily install the bolt for the suction hose sub-assembly halfway to the cooler expansion valve.

      Hold the bolt and pull it to remove the cooler expansion valve as shown in the illustration.

    4. A0027H9C01
      *1 No. 1 Cooler Evaporator Sub-assembly

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
