REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE

      Disengage the clamp and remove the drain cooler hose.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLING UNIT PACKING

      Remove the No. 1 cooling unit packing.

  3. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE

      Remove the packing.

    2. A01QVNG

      Remove the packing.

    3. A01QWRJ

      Remove the 4 screws.

    4. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the cover.

    5. A01QVL5

      Remove the 8 screws and cover.

      Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

    7. A018HL2

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the hexagon bolt and rotate the hook connector.

      Remove the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

    9. Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the plate.

      Remove the grommet.

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and rear cooling unit expansion valve.

  4. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and bracket.

    2. A01QW53

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 clips and slide the clips to disconnect the heater water pipe and hose sub-assembly.

    4. A01QWM5

      Remove the screw and clamp.

    5. A01QWMQ

      Remove the 2 bushes.

    6. A01QVID

      Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly.

      Note

      Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  5. REMOVE REAR BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A018M6K

      Remove the 3 screws and rear blower motor with fan sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL


    1. A018LXH

      Remove the 2 screws and blower motor control.

  7. REMOVE REAR MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A018HM2

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and rear mode damper servo sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE REAR AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and rear air mix damper servo sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY


    1. A018L8V

      Disengage each clamp and disconnect the No. 2 air conditioning harness assembly.

    2. A01QUQE

      Remove the 12 screws and rear cooling unit cover LH.

    3. A01QW59

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 air conditioning harness assembly.

  10. REMOVE REAR EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A018HBM

      Remove the rear evaporator sub-assembly.

    2. A018GUZ

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the rear evaporator sub-assembly.
