REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    Make sure to select foot mode before removing the rear cooling unit assembly.

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR

      B003ZIE Clip
      B003Z8F Bolt
      B003ZMU Screw

      Remove the clip, bolt, 3 screws and No. 1 luggage compartment side cover protector.

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY


    1. A0029YO

      Remove the bolt and rotate the hook connector.

    2. A002BGA

      Disconnect the suction tube.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the suction tube.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. A002BEC

      Disconnect the liquid tube.

    5. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet heater water hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose.


      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet heater water hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose.


      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  5. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH

  9. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

    Click here

  10. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

    Click here

  11. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  15. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH

  16. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK SIDE TRIM COVER

  18. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

  19. REMOVE COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR (w/ Rear Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  26. REMOVE COOLER PLATE


    1. A0027HQ

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the cooler plate.

  27. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT

      Remove the No. 1 cooler air duct.

  28. REMOVE REAR NO. 5 AIR DUCT


    1. A002APE

      Remove the 2 clips and rear No. 5 air duct.

  29. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY


    1. A002BEG

      Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage each clamp.

    3. Disconnect the drain cooler hose.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the rear cooling unit assembly.
