PROCEDURE
REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY
for LHD:
Disconnect each connector.
Disengage each clamp to remove the air conditioning harness assembly.
for RHD:
Disconnect each connector.

Disengage each clamp to remove the air conditioning harness assembly.
REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE
Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.
REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 6 screws.
Disengage the guide and disconnect the wire harness.
Disengage the 5 claws to remove the air conditioning radiator assembly from the blower assembly with cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the clamp.
Remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly with No. 1 cooler thermistor.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR
REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Disengage the 4 claws to remove the center heater to register duct.
REMOVE NO. 3 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the No. 3 air duct sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE ASPIRATOR (for Manual Air Conditioning System)
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the aspirator.
REMOVE ASPIRATOR (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)
Disengage the clamp.
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the aspirator.
REMOVE QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater)
Remove the screw.
Disengage the clamp.
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws to remove the quick heater bracket.
Remove the 2 screws and quick heater assembly.
REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)
Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.
REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 3 claws to remove the heater clamp.
Remove the screw and clamp.
Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly.
Note
Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.
