AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM(for Manual Air Conditioning System) Back-up Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The back-up power source circuit for the air conditioning amplifier assembly is shown below. Power is supplied even when the ignition switch is off. This power is used for diagnostic trouble code memory, etc.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the F80 and F81 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F80-21 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      F81-28 (+B2) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F80-14 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F81-24 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
