AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM(for Manual Air Conditioning System) Rear Blower Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The rear blower motor with fan sub-assembly is operated by signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Rear blower motor speed signals are transmitted in accordance with changes in the duty ratio.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

    5. Check the operation by referring to the table below.

  2. INSPECT REAR BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the L18 rear blower motor with fan sub-assembly connector.

      Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the motor operates.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L19 blower motor control connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  8. INSPECT BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL


    1. Reconnect the L19 blower motor control connector.

  9. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the F81 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the rear blower switch on (LO).

      Measure the waveform between terminal F81-26 (BLWH) of the air conditioning amplifier assembly and body ground.
