DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly and parking assist ECU communicate via AVC-LAN communication.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the radio and display receiver assembly and parking assist ECU.

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

      Note

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    1. Clear the DTCs.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the F131 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F131-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      F131-2 (+B) - F131-3 (GND1) Always 11 to 14 V
      F131-1 (ACC) - F131-3 (GND1) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - PARKING ASSIST ECU)


    1. Disconnect the F72 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F131 parking assist ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-7 (TX3+) - F131-10 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-8 (TX3-) - F131-9 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-7 (TX3+) or F131-10 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-8 (TX3-) or F131-9 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU


    1. Replace the parking assist ECU with a new or known good one.
