PROCEDURE
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO WAY TUBE
Secure the brake master cylinder sub-assembly with way in a vise.
Note
Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly and No. 2 brake tube way.
Using a union nut wrench, remove the brake master cylinder to way tube.
Note
Do not damage or deform the brake lines during the removal procedure.
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
Remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly and No. 2 brake tube way from the vise.
REMOVE NO. 2 BRAKE TUBE WAY
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RING PIN
Secure the brake master cylinder sub-assembly in a vise.
Note
Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
Using a 5 mm pin punch and a hammer, tap out the brake master cylinder ring pin from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
Note
Do not drop the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir sub-assembly from the brake master cylinder body.
REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET
Remove the 2 master cylinder reservoir grommets from the brake master cylinder body.
Remove the brake master cylinder body from the vise.
