Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  • If the front speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the front drive shaft assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER LINER

    1. Remove the screw and clip and separate the front fender liner.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

      Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 sensor clamps.

    3. A00277M

      Remove the bolt and sensor clamp bracket.

    4. A00283F

      Remove the bolt and separate the front flexible hose and sensor clamp bracket.

    5. A002B34

      Disengage the 2 claws to separate the sensor clamp.

    6. Remove the bolt and front speed sensor from the steering knuckle.

      Note


      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the front speed sensor tip.

      • Clean the speed sensor installation hole and the contact surfaces every time the front speed sensor is removed.
