VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Downhill Assist Control Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Select the Active Test using the GTS.

    4. Select the Data List on the GTS.

    5. Check the operating condition of the downhill assist control indicator light when operating it using the GTS.

      Downhill Assist Control Indicator Light in the Data List turns ON/OFF using the Active Test. B

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS.

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The downhill assist control indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
