DESCRIPTION

DTC C1379 will be deleted when the downhill assist control switch sends a downhill assist control operation signal or when Test Mode ends. DTC C1379 is output only in Test Mode.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Select the Data List using the GTS.

    4. Using the GTS, check the switch condition on the GTS changes according to downhill assist control switch operation.

  2. PERFORM TEST MODE INSPECTION (SIGNAL CHECK)


    1. Perform the sensor check in Test Mode Procedure.

      All Test Mode DTCs are cleared.

  3. INSPECT DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH


    1. A0028VQC01

      Component without harness connected

      (Downhill Assist Control Switch))

      Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    3. Disconnect the F41 downhill assist control switch connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 (B) - 1 (E) Switch is pushed in Below 1 Ω
      4 (B) - 1 (E) Switch is not pushed in 10 kΩ or higher

      Note

      Check the downhill assist control switch signal after replacement.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH)


    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    2. Disconnect the A47 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A47-29 (HDCS) - F41-4 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      A47-29 (HDCS) or F41-4 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F41-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
