  2. LOOSEN FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER NUT

    1. A01QW7L

Loosen the front support to front shock absorber nut.

      Note

      • Do not remove the front support to front shock absorber nut.

      • Loosen the front support to front shock absorber nut only when the front shock absorber with coil spring needs to be disassembled.

  3. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. A01QUQ4

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 6 clamps and separate the wire harness from the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

    3. A002APZ

Remove the 10 bolts, 6 nuts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    1. A01QW2E

Disengage the 2 clamps and separate the wire harness from the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

    2. A002APZ

Remove the 10 bolts, 6 nuts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  6. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

    1. A0028OQC01
      *a Sensor Clamp

Disengage the 2 claws and separate the sensor clamp.

    2. Remove the bolt and separate the front speed sensor and front flexible hose from the front shock absorber assembly.

      Note

Be sure to separate the front speed sensor from the front shock absorber assembly completely.

  7. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

    1. A01QVK1

Remove the nut and separate the front stabilizer link assembly from the front shock absorber assembly.

      Tech Tips

If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud bolt.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

Attach the arms of SST to the diameter of the front coil spring.

      CAUTION:

      • Make sure that the front coil spring is installed so that the distance between the upper and lower arms of SST is at the maximum.

      • Make sure that the claws of the arms are securely attached.

    3. Using SST, compress the front coil spring.

      CAUTION:

      • If the front coil spring bends during compression, immediately stop compression and reinstall SST.

      • Do not excessively compress the front coil spring so that the coils contact each other.

      • Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.

    4. Confirm that the front coil spring is free and remove the front support to front shock absorber nut.

      CAUTION:
