FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Slide Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seat cushion moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seat cushion moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lifter Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the lifter motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seat cushion moves upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seat cushion moves downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

   3. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Front Vertical Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the front vertical motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seat cushion moves upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seat cushion moves downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

   4. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Cushion Length Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the cushion length motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the cushion length motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seat cushion moves forward (for LHD) Seat cushion moves backward (for RHD) Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seat cushion moves backward (for LHD) Seat cushion moves forward (for RHD)

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

2. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Reclining Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat).

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjustment Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjustment motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjustment motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat).

3. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Slide Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Front Passenger Seat)))

      Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seat cushion moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seat cushion moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (front passenger seat).

4. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT)
