FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM(w/ Memory) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    • The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, cushion length and lumbar support adjustment functions.

    • The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Function
Position control ECU and switch assembly Based on the switch operation, seat adjuster signals are input to the position control ECU and switch assembly to adjust the seat accordingly.
Separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat) Slide motor Receives a signal from the position control ECU and switch assembly, and slides the seat forward and rearward.
Front vertical motor Receives a signal from the position control ECU and switch assembly, and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion.
Lifter motor Receives a signal from the position control ECU and switch assembly, and raises and lowers the seat cushion.
Cushion length motor Receives a signal from the position control ECU and switch assembly, and slide the seat cushion forward and rearward.
Separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat) Reclining motor Receives a signal from the position control ECU and switch assembly, and tilts the seatback forward and rearward.
Lumbar support adjustment motor Receives a signal from the power seat switch assembly and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support.
    Seat memory switch (driver door)

If the seat memory SET switch is being pressed when one of the M1 or M2 seat memory switches is pressed, or if one of the M1 or M2 switches is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored.

Then, when a seat memory switch (driver door) is pressed, a signal is sent to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) and the seat position changes according to memory.

Power seat switch assembly Operates the motor built into the lumbar support adjustment motor (separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat)) according to switch operation.
Seat variable cushion switch Operates the cushion length motor (separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat)) according to switch operation.
  3. SYSTEM OPERATION

The front power seat functions which can be operated with the power seat motors and memorized are shown below.

    Seat Function Driver Seat
    Slide Power and Memory
    Reclining Power and Memory
    Front Vertical Power and Memory
    Lifter Power and Memory
    Lumbar Support Adjustment Power
    Cushion Length Power

The seat memory switch (driver door) sends memory switch information to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door). Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the position control ECU and switch assembly via CAN. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
