DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly consists of the deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.

If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether the airbags, pretensioners and selectable force limiter should be deployed.

DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assembly.

    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

      Note

      If only DTC B1000/31 is output, replace the airbag sensor assembly without clearing the DTCs.

      Tech Tips

      If any DTCs other than DTC B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
