PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Map Light Assembly)

      Inspect the personal lights.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check that each personal light comes on.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 10 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (GND)

        		 Interior light ON/OFF switch off and personal light switch LH on Personal light LH comes on
        Interior light ON/OFF switch off and personal light switch RH on Personal light RH comes on
        Interior light ON/OFF switch on and personal light switch LH and RH off Personal light LH and RH come on
        Interior light ON/OFF switch off and personal light switch LH and RH off Personal light LH and RH do not come on

        Battery positive (+) → 10 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → 9 (CTY)

        		 Interior light DOOR switch on and personal light switch LH and RH off Personal light LH and RH come on
        Interior light DOOR switch off and personal light switch LH and RH off Personal light LH and RH do not come on
        Interior light DOOR switch off and personal light switch LH and RH on Personal light LH and RH do not come on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or map light assembly.

    2. Inspect the switch illumination.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check that the switch illumination comes on.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL)

        Battery negative (-) → 12 (LILL)

        		 Always Switch illumination comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Personal light switch LH and RH off and interior light ON/OFF switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      9 (CTY) - 11 (RRMP) Personal light switch LH and RH off and interior light DOOR switch on Below 1 Ω
      Personal light switch LH and RH off and interior light DOOR switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.
