ENGINE SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

  6. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for LHD)

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (for LHD)

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  9. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the engine switch from the No. 1 switch hole base.
