COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

    Click here

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. A002983

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  10. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE

      Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose.

  11. REMOVE FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY


    1. A002CL0

      Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.

    3. A002C3F

      Disengage the 3 claws.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  12. REMOVE FAN LH


    1. A0027DT

      Remove the nut and fan LH.

  13. REMOVE FAN RH


    1. A002BOP

      Remove the nut and fan RH.

  14. REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR LH


    1. A0029IS

      Disconnect the cooling fan motor LH connector and disengage the wire harness from the 2 clamps.

    2. A0028A5

      Remove the 3 screws and cooling fan motor LH.

  15. REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR RH


    1. A002C0D

      Disconnect the cooling fan motor RH connector and disengage the wire harness from the clamp.

    2. A0029RG

      Remove the 3 screws and cooling fan motor RH.
