TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR SEAL LH

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE SEAL RH

  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

      Separate the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

      *a Counterclockwise

      Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

      Disengage the wire harness clamp.

      Remove the nut from the transmission control shaft lever.

    6. A0029GD

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly with the clip from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the clip from the transmission control cable assembly.

    8. A0028YM

      Turn back the dash panel insulator.

    9. Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the transmission control cable assembly from the cabin.
