FUEL PUMP REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel pump.

    1. A018K64C01
      *1 O-ring
      *2 Fuel Pump Spacer

      Apply gasoline to a new O-ring. Then install the O-ring and fuel pump spacer to the fuel pump.

    2. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

    3. Engage the 5 claws and install the fuel pump to the fuel filter.

      Note


      • Do not damage the fuel filter.

      • Do not remove the suction filter from the fuel pump.

      • Do not use either the fuel pump or suction filter if the suction filter is removed from the fuel pump.

    4. Engage the 2 claws and install the No. 1 fuel suction support.

      Engage the claw and connect the fuel pump filter hose while aligning it with the installation position of the fuel sub-tank.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the fuel tube or No. 1 fuel suction support.

    6. Engage the 2 claws and install the fuel filter, fuel pump and spring to the fuel sub-tank.

    7. Install a new E-ring to the fuel suction plate shaft.

    8. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

    9. Connect the fuel pump harness to the harness clamp.

      Note

      Do not damage the fuel pump harness.
