COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Click here

  10. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. A0028LI

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  12. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE


    1. A0029YH

      Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose.

  13. DISCONNECT INLET NO. 1 OIL COOLER HOSE

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the inlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the fan shroud.

  14. REMOVE FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY


    1. A002CL0

      Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.

    3. A002C3F

      Disengage the 3 claws.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  15. REMOVE FAN


    1. A0027DT

      Remove the nut and fan.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN


    1. A002BOP

      Remove the nut and No. 2 fan.

  17. REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR


    1. A0029IS

      Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector and disengage the wire harness from the 2 clamps.

    2. A0028A5

      Remove the 3 screws and cooling fan motor.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR


    1. A002C0D

      Disconnect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector and disengage the wire harness from the clamp.

    2. A0029RG

      Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 cooling fan motor.
