THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. A002CMJ

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

    3. Disengage the vacuum hose clamp from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

    4. Disconnect the air hose from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    5. Disengage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.

      Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. A0029NUC01
      *1 No. 2 water by-pass hose
      *2 No. 3 water by-pass hose

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    3. A002AAS

      Remove the 4 bolts, wire harness clamp bracket and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank.

      Note

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank.
