DESCRIPTION

If the swing grille actuator assembly is replaced with a new one, the grille shutter control state switches to maintenance mode and DTCs are stored.

Note

If the swing grille actuator assembly is replaced with a new one, perform "Change Radiator Shutter Control State".

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > Grill Shutter > Clear DTCs
      Result

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SHUTTER OPERATION)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Grille Shutter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Grill Shutter > Active Test
      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Shutter Closing Operation Lock Detection Grille shutter OFF or Close Closing operation performed until motor stops due to lock detection.
      Shutter Opening Operation Lock Detection Grille shutter OFF or Open Opening operation performed until motor stops due to lock detection.

      Body Electrical > Grill Shutter > Active Test

      Shutter Closing Operation Lock Detection

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (RESULT FOR ACTIVE TEST)


    1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Grille Shutter / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
