DESCRIPTION

The vehicle approaching speaker assembly circuit consists of the vehicle approaching speaker controller and vehicle approaching speaker assembly.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the vehicle approaching speaker assembly circuit.

Either of the following conditions is met:


  • When sound output voltage is being monitored by the ECU, with the power switch on (IG), auxiliary battery voltage 10 V or more, and warning sound being produced, a speaker circuit short condition continues for 1 second or more

  • When sound output voltage is being monitored by the ECU, with the power switch on (IG) and warning sound not being produced, a speaker circuit open condition continues for 5 seconds or more

  • Vehicle approaching speaker controller

  • Vehicle approaching speaker assembly

  • Harness or connector

  1. INSPECT VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the vehicle approaching speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the vehicle approaching speaker assembly.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER)


    1. Disconnect the K145 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
