REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE

      Remove the No. 2 moulding tape.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  3. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. B003XNT

      Disengage claw and guide to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Remove the 5 clips.

    3. Disengage the 8 claws and 7 guides to remove the rear bumper center extension sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE

      *a Hook

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the hook to remove the rear bumper piece.

  7. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)


    1. Disengage the 4 clamps.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

    Click here

  10. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)


    1. Remove the 4 ultrasonic sensor clips.

  11. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH

  12. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Remove the grommet.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. B003XVT

      Disengage the guide and claw to remove the No. 1 rear bumper side support LH.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

  22. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 8 bolts to rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.
