HEADLIGHT ECU REMOVAL

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH is replaced with a new one, vehicle information registration and initialization are not necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Make sure to replace the headlight gasket with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. A0021EIC01
      *a Connector Lock Lever

      Disengage the 4 clamps.

    3. Disengage the claw, pull down the connector lock lever as shown in the illustration and disconnect the connector to remove the headlight cord.

    4. A00218C

      Separate the connector cover from the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly.

    5. A0022YN

      Disconnect the connector to remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly.

      Note

      If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it with a new one.

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD

  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET

    Note

    Make sure to replace the headlight gasket with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.

      Remove the headlight gasket.
