HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ AVS)

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (w/ AVS)

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ AVS)

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT (for LHD)

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

  8. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET HOOK (for LHD)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD (for LHD)

  10. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  12. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR (w/ AVS)

  13. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. A01MT6A

        Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips.

      2. Turn back the front floor mat as shown in the illustration.

      3. A01MSGK

        Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A01MRNU

        Using a clip remover, disengage the clip.

      2. Turn back the front floor mat as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01MRZK

      Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips to disconnect the connector holder.

    4. A01MTWTC01
      *a Clamp
      *b Guide
      B003YHT Nut
      B003XOB Bolt

      Disconnect the connector.

    5. Disengage the clamp.

    6. Remove the nut and bolt.

    7. Disengage the guide to remove the headlight leveling ECU assembly.
