LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the hazard warning signal switch on signal and controls the operation of the hazard warning lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

      Hazard Flasher Switch Hazard warning signal switch signal ON or OFF

      ON: Hazard warning signal switch on

      OFF: Hazard warning signal switch off

  2. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH)


    1. Remove the air conditioner control assembly (hazard warning signal switch).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K65-11 (LJB) - K4-12 (HAZM) Always Below 1 Ω
      K65-11 (LJB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K65-9 (HAZ) - K4-11 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K65-9 (HAZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
