WIPER SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)

  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column)

    Note

    Removing the steering column cover (lower) in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.


    1. Release the tilt and telescopic lever, and fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.

    2. Lock the tilt and telescopic lever.

      Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    4. A0022NP

      Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

      *a Push

      Push the left side of the steering column cover (lower) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    6. A0021CVC01
      *a Push

      Push the right side of the steering column cover (lower) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    7. A0021BWC01
      *a Claw <A>
      *b Claw <B>

      Insert your fingers into the opening of the tilt lever of the steering column cover (lower) to disengage the claw <A>.

      Tech Tips

      Spread the claw to disengage it.

    8. Disengage the 2 claws <B> to remove the steering column cover (lower).

      Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips to separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly from the steering column cover (upper).

    10. A0021XA

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the steering column cover (upper).

  3. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)


    1. A0021CT

      Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    2. A0020LX

      Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

    3. A002260

      Remove the screw.

      *a Push

      Push the left side of the steering column cover (lower) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    5. A0021VYC01
      *a Push

      Push the right side of the steering column cover (lower) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    6. A0022OX

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    7. A0023AJ

      Remove the steering column cover (lower) as shown in the illustration.

    8. A0020EY

      Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips to separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly from the steering column cover (upper).

    9. A0021XA

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the steering column cover (upper).

  4. REMOVE TILT AND TELESCOPIC SWITCH (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)

  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A002097

      Disconnect 2 connectors.

    2. A0020SZ

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      If the claw is pulled with excessive force, it may break.
