OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR


    1. A011MCKC04
      B003YLR Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    2. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.

    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the lower part of the outer mirror.

      B003YLR Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    5. Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.

    6. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the upper part of the outer mirror.

    7. A011MD3C02
      *a Mirror Heater Connector
      *b EC Mirror Connector
      *c Blind Spot Monitor Indicator Connector

      Disconnect the 2 mirror heater connectors.

    8. w/ EC Mirror:


      1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Release the tabs of the EC mirror connector to disconnect the EC mirror connector.

        Note


        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.

        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror with a new one.

    9. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:


      1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector to disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.

        Note


        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.

        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror with a new one.

    10. Remove the outer mirror.
