DESCRIPTION
The seat belt buckle switch RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly and seat belt buckle switch RH (front seat inner belt assembly RH).
DTC B1655/37 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the seat belt buckle switch RH circuit.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
PROCEDURE
CHECK CONNECTORS
Turn the power switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag sensor assembly and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

Tech Tips
If the connectors are not properly connected, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assembly and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.

Using a service wire, connect terminals 10 (RBE+) and 18 (RBE-) of connector B.
Note
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting the wire.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:

Connect the connectors to the airbag sensor assembly and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Clear the DTCs stored in memory.
Turn the power switch off.
Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check for DTCs.

Turn the power switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH with a known good one.
Tech Tips
Perform the following inspection using known good parts from another vehicle if possible.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Clear the DTCs stored in memory.
Turn the power switch off.
Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check for DTCs.
