Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure described below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.
If a rear seat airbag assembly has deployed, replace the rear seat airbag assembly, bench type rear seatback cover and bench type rear seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)
REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
REMOVE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw and rear door courtesy light switch assembly.
