PRECAUTIONS FOR AUXILIARY BATTERY
Immediately after disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery cable, the entry unlock function may not operate. If this occurs, the entry unlock function can be restored by performing a wireless door lock and unlock or mechanical key operation.
When the auxiliary battery is discharged, if the 12V battery of another vehicle is used to jump start the hybrid control system, move the shift lever to P and open and close the driver door with the power switch off before starting the hybrid control system.
After the auxiliary battery is removed and reinstalled, be sure to wait 10 seconds or more before the next hybrid control system start. The hybrid control system may not start immediately after the auxiliary battery is reinstalled.
Tech Tips
After disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery cable, the hybrid control system may not start on the first attempt. If this occurs, turn the power switch off. The hybrid control system will start normally from the second time onward.
When the auxiliary battery cable is disconnected and reconnected, the power source mode returns to the mode it was in before the auxiliary battery cable was disconnected.
