ENTRY AND START SYSTEM(for Start Function) PRECAUTION


  1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.

  2. DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER EXPRESSIONS


    1. The type of door control receiver used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

  3. PRECAUTION WHEN USING GTS


    1. When using the GTS with the power switch off, connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start(CAN). While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

  4. PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION


    1. If replacing any of the following parts, refer to Service Bulletin.


      1. Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)

      2. Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly)

      3. Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly

      4. Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly

      5. ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)

      6. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

    2. When the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, the stored steering lock position will no longer match that of the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) and it may not be possible to start the hybrid control system. Therefore, after replacement, perform the following procedure.


      1. Move the shift lever to P.

      2. With the power switch off, open and close a door, and then start the hybrid control system.
