MAIN BODY ECU INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

  2. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    Note


    • Make sure that the connecting surfaces are free of foreign matter.

    • Do not touch the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

      *b Housing Sidewall

      Set the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) to the position where the guide of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) contacts the housing sidewall of the instrument panel junction block assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to keep the angle at 20° or more as shown in the illustration.

      *b Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly Fuse

      Slide the guide of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) along the housing sidewall so that it contacts the instrument panel junction block assembly fuse as shown in the illustration.

      *a Side A

      While keeping the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) in contact with side A of the instrument panel junction block assembly (axis of rotation), lower it as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly
      *2 Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
      *a Push Area

      Press the push area until the claw engages to install the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      Note


      • Make sure to press only the push area.

      • Confirm the engagement of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and instrument panel junction block assembly by listening for the ''click'' sound of the lock engaging.

      Tech Tips

      If a ''click'' sound cannot be heard, visually check the engagement of the lock. The engagement can also be confirmed if the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and instrument panel junction block assembly are flush.

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH MAIN BODY ECU (for LHD)

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    2. w/ Connector Lock:


      1. A0022BF

        Engage the claw to lock the connector lock as shown in the illustration.

    3. A00238Y

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    4. A0022CPC01
      B003XUN Bolt
      B003YHT Nut

      Install the instrument panel junction block assembly with main body ECU and wiring harness clamp bracket with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    5. A0022TD

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    6. A0021ZL

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    7. Connect each connector.

  4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH MAIN BODY ECU (for RHD)


    1. A0022I6

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    2. w/ Connector Lock:


      1. A0022IF

        Engage the claw to lock the connector lock as shown in the illustration.

    3. A0022IG

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

      B003XUN Bolt
      B003YHT Nut

      Install the instrument panel junction block assembly with main body ECU with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    5. A002290

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    6. A0021GM

      Engage the claw to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to connect the connector securely.

    7. Connect each connector.

  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
