AUXILIARY BATTERY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY

   
   

   1. Install the auxiliary battery to the battery carrier assembly.

   2. Connect the auxiliary battery hose to the auxiliary battery.

      Tech Tips

      Push in the auxiliary battery hose to the auxiliary battery until a click sound is heard.

   3. Install the battery hold down clamp sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

   4. Install the battery clamp sub-assembly to the auxiliary battery with the nut.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

   5. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

   6. Engage the 2 claws to close the auxiliary battery terminal cap.

2. INSTALL TIRE REPAIR SEAL

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 guides to install the tire repair seal from the auxiliary battery.

   2. Engage the 2 claws to connect the tool box band assembly.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   
   

   1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

   
   

   1. Engage the 4 claws to install the luggage trim service hole cover.

5. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

   
   

   1. Engage the 7 claws and 7 guides to install the battery service hole cover LH.
